Travel Essentials for women during covid Pandemic

There’s been a lot of lists and articles written about travel essentials pre-covid. But with coronavirus still around the corner without an approved vaccine or drug licensed for the treatment or prevention, our Travel Essentials have definitely changed because of covid.

Last night while browsing with his new phone, my husband got bombarded with ads of Palawan and other destinations in the country. With ECQ just recently lifted and countries starting to lift the lockdown one by one, it is no question that people will slowly start to move around and eventually travel.

Here is a quick travel essential list that we all need to carefully prepare when we start to travel during covid Pandemic.

1. Mask

Needless to say, the mask has become the staple symbol image of coronavirus. Depending on the number of days you will be out and about, you should prepare enough mask to replenish. But to be more environment friendly, opt for the washable versions. Here is the official communication of World Health Organization towards masks in the context of covid19.

2. Hand Sanitizer / Alcohol

Your hand sanitizer should have at least 60 percent alcohol. The alcohol should be at least 70 percent isopropyl alcohol. Personally I prepare them both whenever I go out.

Keep the small hand sanitizer in your pocket or purse to clean your hand whenever you touch a surface or anything held by someone else (money, credit card machine, door knobs, handles).

Keep the alcohol is a back-up to clean bigger stuff like your bag, phone, laptop, wallet, and Debit Card.

3. Wet towels

Your best option is a disinfectant wipes or wet towels with alcohol. They are good for cleaning public surfaces where you sit, eat (tables), put your bag and phone on, or hold when necessary like handrails, door knobs etc…

4. Mary Kay Timewise 3D Mini (Travel set)

Never leave town without this handy antioxidant-rich skincare. Small enough to fit your makeup kit, its a complete skincare regimen. This travel-sized anti-aging regimen is good for 3-4 weeks and contains the following:

  1. Cleanser – TimeWise® Age Minimize 3D® 4-in-1 Cleanser (14g)
  2. Day Cream – TimeWise® Age Minimize 3D® Day Cream SPF 30 (9g)
  3. Night Cream – TimeWise® Age Minimize 3D® Night Cream (9g)
  4. Eye Cream – TimeWise® Age Minimize 3D® Eye Cream (3g)

Timewise 3D on-the-go set with 4-in-1 cleanser, Day Cream with SPF 30, Anti-aging night cream and Eye Cream.

Instruction on how to use them is in this link.

5. Hand Cream

With repeated hand sanitation and the application of alcohol, your hands can definitely get dry. Dry hands can get itchy and annoying. Not to mention that dryness makes it look old. You don’t want that. Mary Kay Satin Hand Nourishing Shea Cream is perfect for hydrating your mains and keeping them younger-looking and smelling fresh too.

6. Extra Set of Clothes

This is especially important when you are flying. I suggest that change your clothes as soon as you arrive at the destination airport. Wash your arms and hands with soap for 20 minutes and your face with Timewise 3D Cleanser and Apply the day cream with SPF afterwards.

7. Basic Makeup (CC Cream, Small Makeup Palette, Lipstick, Mascara, and Eye Brow pencil)

Basic makeup or full make up it’s really up to you. But to reduce the stuff you will need to clean, it is best to pack the minimum.

Actual minimalist content of my makeup-kit during covid19: From left: Nuxe Hand soap with Honey, Alcohol Spray, Mary Kay CC Cream Light to Medium with SPF15, Mary Kay Semi Shine Lipstick, Satin Lip Balm, Lash Love Waterproof Mascara, Ballpen, Alcogel, Kleenex Tissue Paper.

8. Ballpen

Having your own ballpen prevents you from having to borrow from someone else or using the public ballpens in the airport.

9. Facial Wipes

This can be handy to wipe your face when the sink and water are not easily accessible.

10. Lip Scrub and Lip Balm

With your lips consistently under a mask, it can get a little dry. It would be nice to have a lip balm available to keep your lips moisturized. Try Mary Kay Satin Lips Lip Balm.

The Mary Kay Satin Lips lip scrub can be used to night to exfoliate your lips and prevent them from cracking which can cause bleeding and get painful.

11. A sachet of laundry powder

Hotels don’t normally provide this so be sure that you have one ready to soak your clothes and masks in as soon as you arrive at the airport. In the Philippines, it is easy to buy a small sachet of detergent powder and you can easily fit them in your hand luggage.

12. Facial Tissue / Tissue Paper

You cannot be over paranoid with an enemy you cannot see, thus having extra tissue paper is essential when you feel the need to sneeze. Dispose of them properly in the bin.

Depending on your travel destination and reason for travel, you may add from this list. When traveling overseas, of course, your passport should be in the list too and don’t forget your wallet 🙂

Personally, these are my personal essentials an they should be in my bag.

Would you like to complete your travel kit with the Mary Kay products in this list? If you don’t have a beauty consultant yet, send me a message. I’d be glad to give you FREE skincare consultation too.
