Skincare Routine for Oily Skin between 18-29 years old.

Do you have shiny skin with open pores, whiteheads, blackheads, and occasional breakouts? If you think you have oily skin, let’s put an end to that unwanted oiliness and zits ruining your selfies.

There are different skin types: Normal Skin, Oily Skin, Dry Skin, and Combination Skin.

The good news is, people with oily skin tend to look younger than those with dry skin. However, there is a higher risk of getting a bacterial infection that may cause pimples or acne. To avoid that, you need a skincare regimen that fits your skin type.

For ages between 18-25 years old, I recommend the Mary Kay Botanical Effects Skin Care set with Clear Proof Deep Cleansing Charcoal Mask. It is a gentle and simple regimen that fits your age group and is good for sensitive and oily skin.

Step 1 Cleanse

Wash your face every day morning and evening using the Botanicals Effects Evolution Cleansing Gel.

  • Wet your face with tap water.
  • Put a pea-size cleanser on your palm.
  • Spread the cleanser to your 5 focal points: chin, nose, cheeks, and forehead.
  • Wet your fingers and lather the remaining cleanser on your palm.
  • Lather your face starting from the chin, cheeks, nose, and forehead using a circular motion.
  • Add a little water if the product is drying up. The cleanser is concentrated you just need to add more water to lather your skin. Do this for 2-3 minutes or until your whole face is cleansed.
  • Tap dry your face with a clean towel.

Step 2 Exfoliate

Exfoliate your skin 2-3 times a week with Mary Kay Clear Proof Deep Cleansing Charcoal Mask.

  • Put a pea size of the product on your beauty fingers (pinky finger, ring finger and middle finger) then apply on to your face starting from the chin up to your temple then to your forehead.
  • Let dry for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse your face with lukewarm water and tap dry using a clean face towel.
How to apply charcoal mask

Active charcoal is known to be effective in exfoliating dead skin and unclogging deep-seated dirt, toxins, impurities, and pimple-causing bacteria.

REMEMBER: Do not do this every day. Do this step 2-3 times a week in the evening.

Step 3 Tone

Freshen your skin with Botanical Effects Evolutions Refreshing toner. Put the toner into a cotton ball and apply into your face until it is completely absorbed. Without the facial mask, you can do this every after cleansing your face.

Step 4 Moisturize & Protect

Hydrate your skin with Botanical Effects Evolutions Moisturizing Gel SPF 30.  Put a pea-size of the moisturizer on your fingers and apply into your face from chin to forehead. Do this morning and night.

Step 5 Mattify

Finally, apply Mary Kay Matte 3D foundation for oil control and flawless looking complexion. Finish off with Sheer Mineral Powder in the morning to lock your look before putting on your makeup.

There you go! Your easy to follow 5-step skincare routine.
